Welcome to my new blog!

Where in the world 🌎 is Becky? Currently heading back to Chicago since, unfortunately I have NOT won the lottery, inherited millions, or figured out a way to make a living wage while I am exploring the world (I am open to suggestions!!) Luckily, I have a full time job in Chicago that I love and which allows me the flexibility to travel during non-peak times. Thanks Catering by Michaels!!!

So far in 2026, I have been on planes, trains, automobiles, and so much more! I worked 10 days in January and the rest of the time I explored and traveled through the 🇺🇸. I have slept in rest areas, train stations, yoga studios, hostels, hot spring resorts, spas, and economical hotels. I have eaten lots of peanut butter sandwiches, instant oatmeal, free hotel breakfasts, car snacks, gas station pizza, and street food.

Why do I do it???? So many reasons and needs a separate blog post! Do I enjoy every moment of it? Yes! Is it always fun and easy??? Not at all! Is it about reaching a specific destination? No way and frequently I don't even have a destination to reach. It is all about the journey-seeing new places, learning new things, meeting new people, exploring, discovering, and turning every day into an adventure!
